Abstract: | A distribution system can be analyzed using either model-simulation programs or system-optimization programs. Simulation programs determine heads and flow at all nodes and pipe in the network. Optimization programs determine pipe sizes, pump heads, or pipe locations that optimize a particular objective, usually the lowest-cost solution. |
