Abstract: In summary, the present study demonstrates that AS, irrespective of the presence and/or absence of CAD, is associated with platelet hyperaggregability and hyporesponsiveness to antiaggregatory effects of NO donor SNP. Treatment with the prophylactic antianginal agent perhexiline improves platelet responsiveness to NO.
