Abstract: This paper brings attention to the nonlinear dynamics of an induction mo- tor's drive system with indirect eld controlled. To understand the complex dynamics of system, some basic dynamical properties, such as equilibrium, stability are rigorously de- rived and studied. Chaotic attractors are rst numerically veried through investigating phase trajectories, bifurcation path, Poincare projections and dissipativity. Furthermore, a new sliding mode control method is proposed to gain the synchronization with different initial values. It can control the system to an equilibrium point. Numerical simulations are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed controllers.
