Abstract: Software plays a very important role in the wireless sensor network nodes at the outset of the system development. One of the issues is to debug and update the softwares. However, each node is widely distributed and spread at an inconvenient place to hit, so it will be powerless and difficult to use the existing way to update the program, and so it restricts the promotion of large-scale wireless sensor network applications. Based on the study of protocol for wireless-air, this paper described wireless ZigBee downloaded technology and the mechanism. It also designed wireless sensor nodes using JN5139 and implemented remote update node programs. Experimental results showed that the design and update mechanism is feasible. The study will enhance the application of wireless sensor networks. © 2012 ICIC International.
