Abstract: This paper investigates process fault identification for continuous-time nonlinear switched systems. A novel fault estimation algorithm, based on an adaptive fault diagnosis observer and average dwell time technique, is first proposed. In terms of linear matrix inequality, sufficient condition for the existence of the adaptive observer is derived. Simulation results are presented to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed results.
