Adelaide Festival of Ideas session, The Braggs, University of Adelaide, 3:00pm, Sunday 20th October, 2013. Hosted by Robyn Williams.en
Prof Paul Davies will outline a bold new approach based on tracing cancer's ancient evolutionary roots and its intriguing links with embryo development. He will argue that cancer is not the result of accumulated genetic damage but a deeply embedded and evolutionary-honed "subroutine" in the genetic program of life, which can be repressed by both the host organism and the physician.en
