Abstract: | The impact of Australia’s restrictive immigration policies during the period 1901-1970s upon the family lives of non-white non-Indigenous people in Australia have been largely ignored in the writing of Australian history. The paper explores some dimensions of the experiences of non-white non-Indigenous people and their transnational families in relation to state interference. |
