dc.description.abstract | We report efficient generation of broad-bandwidth mid-infrared radiation by cascaded Raman scattering of nanosecond pulses in large-core (65-μm diameter) As 2Se 3 optical fibre. With 2.5-μm pump pulses, four cascaded Raman Stokes peaks are observed. The peak Stokes frequency shift is ∼7.2 THz and the fourth peak is centred at a wavelength of ∼3.3 m. © 2011 IEEE. | - |
