dc.description.abstractAndrew Bovell talks about the journey of his play, When the Rain Stops Falling, from the conception of the idea to its different interpretations in Australia, London and New York. The play was commissioned and originally produced by SA theatre company Brink Productions and premiered at the Adelaide Festival of the Arts in 2008. Brink’s production was subsequently presented in 2009 by Sydney Theatre Company and Melbourne Theatre Company. New productions were produced by the Almeida Theatre in London in 2009, Lincoln Center Theatre in New York and Silo Theatre in Auckland in 2010. It will have its first foreign language production in Germany in December 2010.en
