Abstract: | Mapping in the Emu Bore area has disclosed hitherto unmapped Parachilna Formation, Brachina Formation and Billy Creek Formation as well as a diapiric body. The entire Upper Proterozoic to Upper Lower Cambrian sequence is a shallow water one marked by periods of transgression and regression which has resulted in the deposition of limestones and red beds. The Lower Cambrian rocks consist entirely of limestones as opposed to those in the type section in Wilkawillina Gorge where clastic units are included. |
