Title: Interpretation of a geophysical data from the Broken Hill area

Abstract: Bulk density measurements determined from 2884 samples of diamond drill cone from the metamorphic rocks of the Broken Hill l-ode sequence were used to construct subsurface density models which were used in computer modelling of the expected gravitational attraction. This was then numerically compared with observed gravity profiles with stations as close as fifty feet to produce residual gravity profiles. The detailed gravity survey covered an area of 20 sq miles whilst local- traverses of two hundred foot spacing and regional traverses of half mile to two mile spacing extended coverage to 600 sq miles. Correlation between aeromagnetic, gravity and geological data was attempted.
