Correspondence from H.E.Maude in 1985, comprising letters from Simon Seligman, grandson of Sir Arthur Grimble, and others, including R. Crocombe, Jane Roth, Richard Overy, Niel Gunson, John Orr, P. Gibbons, Andrew Campbell, Raeburn Lange, John Hockings, Kambati Uriam, Maslyn Williams and Whitney Smith, regarding Maude's work in South Pacific history. Topics include the writing of Island histories, the Pacific Manuscripts Bureau, the Western Pacific Commission Archives and the translation of The Gilbertese Maneaba into Gilbertese. There are also notes re his move to a retirement village and his future writing plans.
