The ADT Program at the University of Adelaide

The University of Adelaide Library has joined the Australasian Digital Theses (ADT) Program and is experimenting with putting our theses on the database. The Program has developed the means for graduates to deposit a digital copy of their thesis in the library, using a uniform national process.

All current and former Adelaide University postgraduate research students are invited to deposit their theses electronically on the ADT database. The ADT process involves creating a PDF version of the thesis, using your web browser to fill in a deposit form; then sending the form and thesis as an attachment to the Library's server where it will be accessible over the Web to anyone in the world (subject to restrictions imposed by the author).

The theses will be accessible through Adelaide University Library's web pages, the Library's Web catalogue, a national database of Australian theses, and also through web search engines. This means increased exposure for your hard work, and makes a valuable research resource much more accessible than it would other wise!

If you wish to take advantage of this opportunity to deposit an electronic copy of your thesis on the Web, make sure you keep an accurate, final disk-copy on which all of the corrections you were required to make for final approval of your degree have been made.

For more information, or help with the process, contact Angela Mills or Marie Kozulic, or check the Adelaide University Library Digital Theses web site.
